I got very excited about the potential of this little number. LOVING the curly-wurley legs!

It had been shellac’d which made for AWESOME stripping. The flat surface just scraped off.

Then I just spread methylated spirits on it and covered with glad wrap

…and this is what happens. You can literally wipe it off with a dry cloth.

so I attacked him with the antiquing agent…going for the crevices

I read some good reviews about this transfer paper, so I bought some online. It’s supposed to be magic stuff that you print onto and transfers to almost any surface with an iron.

Unfortunately I didn’t find it terribly wonderful!

This is the result. It lifted some bits of paint, but worse – it left these horrible smudgy lines. I had high hopes, but I wouldn’t use it again on furniture…

I fixed it up with a sharpie, some white paint and a very fine paint brush. Am happy with this one….so pretty!
